Join the fun of learning to create one-of-a-kind
jewelry in polymer clay. Instruction
will begin with the basics: conditioning
the clay, making and blending colors and making different kinds of canes to be
used in the jewelry making process. A
variety of techniques will be employed to make each creation unique and
individual. You may have made polymer
clay items with your kids but join us to discover how creative and
sophisticated this art form can be. Emphasis will be on the production of high
quality jewelry items. Finished work will be processed in ovens provided.
Materials: Please bring several colors of clay
(Premo and/or Sculpey recommended) in lights and darks as well as black and
white. If you have your own pasta
machine, bring it, and we will have some available.
*$20 materials fee: includes a beginning tool kit
(tissue blade, Lucite roller, sandpaper in appropriate grits, silicone rolling
mat, eye pins, head pins, clay storage bags) + other miscellaneous materials
